If our stylists are anything to go by, your cleavage and pins are what you need to show off. Never mind about having a belly – a gorgeous empire front cinch can hide all manner of squidgy bit sins. The orange Tropical print bustier dress was made for you, seriously! The sculpted bust makes the most of your ample bosom, whilst the clever cut hangs flatteringly over your middle, leaving your gorgeous legs to roam free and totter on the highest of heels or simplest of sandals. This sort of draping style dress or top should be a staple in your wardrobe. Remember to always show off your stunning legs though!

Pear

You lucky ladies have one of the easiest shapes to fool. You can get away with pretty much anything up top as long as it’s not too baggy. The key is to play up your waist and petite top half, whilst sculpting your lovely bottom and legs into a flattering silhouette. Our stylists chose the city chic black and white stripe Poplin dress for daywear (fitted top and tulip skirt to skim over wobbly bits whilst accentuating your waist and petite top half), and the elegant blue and silver chiffon bustier dress for a more dressy look (the upper embellishment and cut of the chiffon dress are to die for!) .

Cute dresses with belts are your fashion bread and butter! If you feel a little shapeless, use sculpted cuts and accessories to define your waist, empire line and bust. Fitted dresses like the pink and purple floral print layered dress are perfect because of their jaunty pattern, generous cut and elasticated waist. Add a casual thin belt or a chunky elastic band for style versatility. Our stylists pick of the day is the cream/pink chiffon floral dress with detachable floral corsage – cute, comfy and easily dressed up or down depending on your mood or look of the day.

Finding really great dresses no matter what your size can sometimes feel like a bit of a chore. Go for an SSPF (Serious Sun Protection Factor!)

Keeping your lovely skin safe and shielded from the sun’s harmful UV rays is nothing new. We know we’re meant to use SPF cream, and you know it too. Still, we bet lots of you don’t bother unless you’re on holiday. Are we right? Wearing a light SPF cream on your face and neck daily throughout the year helps protect your skin from signs of aging. Throughout the summer we should all wear SPF cream on exposed skin daily.

Stay Happy and Hydrated

Ladies’ fashion aside, anyone can suffer the effects of dehydration with shocking rapidity in hot weather. Us UK natives, we don’t tend to think of the UK as a particularly dry land, but the fact is that every year thousands of festival goers and domestic holiday makers find themselves feeling nauseous and headachy in their maxi dresses! Remember to drink little and often, and keep an eye on friends.

Some people just aren’t “hat” people. There’s no shame in it! Head/neck scarves make great little sun protection staples to keep in your bag. Sunglasses are a must for all eyes. Protecting your eyes from the sun can help reduce the chance of damage to the eye itself and of suffering headaches. If you’re lucky enough to snag a long lunch outside, a scarf, sunglasses and SPF top-up could save your skin.

Treat your Feet

Letting our toes out for the summer should mean more than just women’s shoes and sandals shopping (although that should certainly play a hefty part!). Taking good care of our feet with long soaks in the bath and the occasional mani-pedi treat is a great way to make sure your precious toes and feet are healthy, smooth, very pretty and well cared for – just think how lost you’d be without them! To see what kind of transformation can be achieved at a formal wedding, just take a look at Joss Stone’s gorgeous formal outfit from the nuptials of our very own native sweethearts, Wills and Kate. There are a few simple rules to follow – no microminis, no see-thru dresses, hats optional (but advised) and no overdoing it a la Ladies Day at Aintree! Formal wedding outfits should be more about demure chic than flesh bearing.
Our stylists love classic pastels and chiffon dresses. Their pick of the day is the Parisian-inspired chic white and black stripe “Poplin” dress. Team with a pastel pink blazer and gold accessories for some classic French charm.

If your friends are more BBQ-with-mates than bourgeoisie, you’re in the lucky ladies’ fashion boat of chilled out chic. You can pretty much do as you like without worrying about formalwear rules. Only invited to the evening do? You can go short! Perhaps avoid the “clubwear” label, but certainly have fun with your look. Country Nuptials

Country weddings usually involve fashion pitfalls such as women’s shoes versus gravel paths, and lavish gardens versus stiletto shoes. Do a little research as to the location of the wedding to gauge whether chucking a pair of wellies in the car might be a good idea. Be Prepared for Cold and Rain
